Learning Disabilities and Autism: Classroom Strategies  

Learning impairments and autism can manifest itself in a variety of ways, each having a different impact on a person’s life and behavior. The course’s goal is to give students an overview of Learning Disabilities and Autism, as well as to promote awareness and foster understanding. The goal of the course is to provide participants with a solid grasp of how to support students with learning disabilities in the classroom.

Participants will learn a wide range of skills needed to work with persons who have learning difficulties during the course of the 5-day training course. Reading strategies, writing strategies, behavior strategies, and classroom management strategies are all discussed. Participants will learn about and practice implementing several of the aforementioned classroom tactics through hands-on activities.
